Where do you call home?

-Honolulu, Hawai’i

If you could move to anywhere in the world, where would it be?

-I absolutely want to live in Iceland and New Zealand; I can just see myself having the most unbelievable photo and surf adventures in these places.

Best advice you have ever received.

-Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it.

What are your hobbies?

-Surfing, waterfall seeking, reading, swimming, free-diving, learning, photography, hiking, dancing, writing, sleeping, and traveling.

What inspires you?

-Being in the ocean.  I’m always energized and amazed by the raw power and beauty of the sea and how it has the ability to stir a range of emotions within me while also challenging me physically.

Who is your biggest role model?

-My Mom is definitely my biggest role model.  She has such a huge heart and is a loving, hilarious, and adventurous individual, who can laugh at herself.  And she works so incredibly hard, juggling a full time job while donating her time to various causes in the community.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

-Traveling all across the world, checking off items on my bucket list.

How has social media helped your career?

-As a photographer, social media has helped push my career forward.  It’s opened up a whole new avenue of clients and has challenged me to become a better photographer.

Biggest pet peeve.

-When someone gives their word and then doesn’t follow through, it totally drives me crazy.

What is your dream job?

-Becoming a staff photographer and writer for a major surf magazine.  So I’d get to travel around the world and experience some of the best waves in the most amazing locations.  Or becoming a professional historian so I could work at a museum.
