June is finally here, which means summer is in full effect! If you’re anything like me, you’ve been anxious for the sun to make an appearance all year so you can head down to the nearest beach or pool and take advantage of those warm sun beams. What we aren’t looking forward to? Using that same, old, uncomfortable towel we’ve been using our whole lives.

Terrycloth towels are what we all grew up with. They’re familiar, they’re standard, what we all know and definitely do not love. They’re thick, scratchy and quite frankly inefficient. How many times have you dropped your towel in the pool and had to wait all day for it to dry? Isn’t that defeating the whole purpose of a towel in the first place? Towels are supposed to quickly dry you off and be used over and over again. Terrycloth towels take forever to dry after you use them or get too much water on them. They’re also uncomfortable. The looped cotton of the terrycloth, made with shorter fibers create a rough and scratchy feel. They’re also super thick, which makes them inconvenient to travel with. They take up so much room in your suitcase or beach bag and honestly just become a hassle.

So why settle for a mediocre beach towel? Why not spice things up this summer to make the most of those days near the water? I’ve recently acquired a new beach towel from a company called Sand Cloud and not only is it the cutest towel I’ve ever seen, but it is so comfortable! I literally want to take it with me everywhere I go. The secret behind these luxury beach towels? Turkish cotton.

This Turkish cotton is woven with longer fibers than your average terrycloth, which creates a stronger, softer, and more absorbent material, literally everything you could ask for in a towel. The strength of the Turkish cotton found in every Sand Cloud beach blanket gives you the reliability that you need in a towel, which means you can take it on all of your crazy summer adventures. Plus, the Turkish Cotton is so durable that you can have faith that your towel will last you for years to come. The hand-loomed, 100 percent Turkish Cotton found in each Sand Cloud towel is extremely smooth, soft, and thin, which basically means you feel like you’re laying on a cloud with this towel. It’s even softer than half of my blankets at home, so I end up bundling up with these Turkish Towels even when I’m not under the sun. Turkish Cotton also absorbs water quickly and efficiently; another benefit to taking this towel over the standard terrycloth towel down to the ocean to dry off with after a long day of surfing or swimming.

The benefits of the Turkish Cotton, along with the variety of awesome colors and patterns, makes Sand Cloud towels a must have this summer season! Absolutely LOVE my Sand Cloud towels..I have grown up on Southern California beaches and always thought the thick terry towels were great..until I found Sand Cloud!!! It dries completely in no time at all..even if you live at the beach where it takes forever for regular materials to truly dry. I have several but the Baja is my favorite!! I would love to see (in honor of Olympics & just for the good old USA) an American Flag themed towel!!!

I am still waiting on a refund for an item I returned in September. No one will answer my emails. When they do, they are very rude. I really liked one of the products, and said so, The other one (round towel) was just too over-priced for what it was. I sent a very nice email explaining that I would even like one of the over-sized square towels as an exchange. Customer service has been very rude and has not responded to me on the status of my return in many days. Feeling ripped off.

My rayon sarongs dry quickly, are comfortable and warm day and night, and may be tied in several styles.

Why are they called sarongs?

Because they are s’right!
